GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Officials say they continue to interview witnesses to a fatal officer-involved shooting at the Brown County Jail last week.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) says it must complete more than two dozen in-depth witness interviews and is analyzing audio and video of the Oct. 19, 2018 shooting of a man in police custody.
The two officers involved have been placed on paid administrative leave.
The autopsy of the deceased man is complete, officials say.
As the investigation continues. DCI has not released the names of the officers involved or the man who died.
According to Green Bay police, a man in his 20's was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop. During the booking procedure inside the sally port of the jail, the man was shot.
