GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- The Farmory is still one year away from its grand opening but Thursday night, it opened its doors to give the public a peek at what's happening inside.

The open house included an update about the project, which aims to bring sustainable indoor agriculture to Green Bay.

Visitors got a tour of the 20,000 square-foot farm.

They could also do hands-on crafts and learn about opportunities to support the project through volunteering or donations.

"What we have left to do here is raise $3.4 million and we've gotten to about $400,000 right now, so the rest of the money, we're looking for Green Bay residents to help support this project and really drive it to fruition," said program director, Alex Smith.
