A pediatric hospital that has been serving area children has a new distinction.
HSHS Saint Vincent Children's Hospital is located inside St. Vincent Hospital.
It's dedicated to providing high quality care to children in Northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula.
More than 70 experts in 30 specialties will be able to treat children and keep them local.
The hospital will also be able to provide advanced pediatric and neonatal care.
"We're very proud of the naming of our children's hospital," said Heidi Warpinski, HSHS St. Vincent Children's Hospital Executive Director. "And the dedication to the community."
The hospital was accepted as a member of the Children's Hospital Association.
St. Vincent Hospital has been serving people throughout Northeast Wisconsin since 1888.
