Green Bay Police: Lock your vehicle doors

GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- In less than one month, the Green Bay Police Department says it has received 36 reports of thefts from vehicles.

While a 30-year-old man and 16-year-old juvenile are in custody, connected to ten of those reports, thefts from vehicles continue.

Police say they notice a pattern of nighttime thefts from vehicles in the neighborhood around Beaumont Park on the city's west side. Additional officers will be monitoring this neighborhood, police say.

To prevent becoming a victim to these crimes, officials recommend locking your vehicles and removing all valuables. It's also a good idea to park your vehicle in a well-lit area.

Residents should also be on alert for anything suspicious in their neighborhood. If you see something out of the ordinary, police encourage you to report it.

Green Bay Police previously said two juveniles were arrested but later corrected it was a 16-year-old and a 30-year-old man.
