GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLUK) -- While some football fans may already be shivering thinking about the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, officials are excited by the possibility of a true Frozen Tundra experience.

Snow in late April isn't exactly common, but it's certainly still a possibility in Northeast Wisconsin.

The Green Bay Packers warned the league about the chance of a snowy Draft. But rather than back down, the NFL cheered.

"So, Peter O'Reilly from the league -- he and I were talking -- and I said, 'Peter, what if it snows?'" said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "He goes, 'That would be great!'"

And when asked about the potential weather, the Packers Vice President of Marketing and Fan Engagement Gabrielle Dow laughed.

"We've had many long discussions about that," she said, "hence the budget -- snow removal was quickly added."

But aside from the budget, snow could also impact where the Draft actually takes place in Titletown.

Many fans think the event will take place in an outdoor venue, like Lambeau Field, but that still hasn't been decided.

"We have given the NFL suggestions, whether it's inside or outside the stadium it's really their decision," explained Dow. "We would love to probably have it inside Lambeau Field and utilize that area, but again it's really up to the NFL."

The Packers have said the main functions will happen on the "Lambeau Field campus," which includes the stadium, Titletown as well as the Resch Center and Expo.
