GREEN BAY (WLUK) – Robert Herrington was charged with armed robbery for allegedly robbing an east-side convenience store Monday.
He also faces one count of driving a vehicle without owner’s consent.
Herrington, 37, allegedly showed a gun, threatened to shoot the clerk and grabbed cash from the register.
He left the gas station in a truck he took from a friend without asking and crashed it into a home on Elm Street and ran, police say.
The next day, police tracked Herrington down and arrested him as he emerged from the woods behind a west-side dance studio.
According to the criminal complaint, Herrington told police he had been drinking and using crack cocaine the day he took the truck without asking.
