GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- A local woman is making a difference in the lives of some young students.

For years, Grace Treml has been sewing blankets for students at Howe Elementary School in downtown Green Bay.

On Wednesday, fondly known as "Grandma Grace," along with her family and a few friends, delivered about 100 blankets.

A school social worker says about 90 percent of the children at Howe Elementary School are at poverty level.

Grace has been making the blankets since 2013.

FOX 11 first did a story on Grace in 2015. After seeing FOX 11's initial story, a local couple began donating money for Grace to make more blankets.

They even donate money for the students to enjoy a day at the NEW Zoo.
