OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- An opera house project in Oshkosh could be put on hold following last weeks deadly and devastating earthquake in Mexico City.

The Grand Oshkosh says it's working with Davis Furniture Company in Melrose, WI and a Mexico City-based company to manufacture new seats for The Grand's balcony.

While the company's manufacturing facilities in Mexico City were not directly affected by the Sept. 19 earthquake, the regional impact of it is causing delays.

“Our hearts go out to the people of Mexico City and that entire region,” said Joe Ferlo, President & CEO, The Grand Oshkosh. “We know that the manufacturer is working hard to deliver the seats for installation by October 7.”

The Grand says it's optimistic about the facility being ready for the season opening performance of "Olate Dogs" on Oct. 7.
