Cherry St. reopens in downtown Green Bay

Downtown Green Bay incident May 15, 2018 (WLUK)

UPDATE: Green Bay police say the situation has been resolved peacefully, and downtown streets have reopened.

GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Police are asking people Tuesday morning to avoid an area near Cherry and Washington Streets.

Police tell us a person in the Cherry Street Ramp is threatening to harm himself.

Officers tell us they have a plan in place, but it's going to take a bit.

As of right now, people won't be able to park in that ramp or the general area.

The Green Bay parking department says people who use the Cherry street ramp should use the pine street ramp today.
