Gas leak on Green Bay's east side

Irwin Avenue has been reopened Friday morning as of 6:30 a.m.


GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- A gas leak has been contained on Green Bay's east side.

It happened around 5 a.m. Friday on Irwin Avenue and East Mason Street.

A portion of Irwin Avenue is blocked as of 5:45 a.m.

Officials tell us about 7 to 8 gallons of fuel leaked from a damaged tank on a truck.

Crews used special equipment to keep the gas from spilling into storm sewers.
