Foxconn CEO to appear in Green Bay for 'major economic development announcement'
GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- One day after Foxconn broke ground on its $10 billion facility in southeastern Wisconsin, the company's CEO is scheduled to appear in Green Bay Friday to make a "major economic development announcement" with state and local leaders.
A news release from Gov. Scott Walker's office says the governor will appear along with Foxconn CEO Terry Gou, Green Bay Packers president/CEO Mark Murphy and Jerry Murphy, executive director of New North, a business advocacy group.
The governor's office did not provide details of the announcement.
The event is scheduled for Friday morning at the City Deck in downtown Green Bay.
