FOND DU LAC (WLUK) -- Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue officials say a vehicle fire quickly turned into a structure fire Saturday morning.
Officials said multiple crews were called to 68 John Street at around 6:19 a.m. Dec. 3, 2016.
Upon arrival, crews found flames coming from the roof.
The building on fire was a large building containing multiple small businesses.
There was heavy damage to the building after the fire was put out.
"You're trying to fight a fire and the only way to get at it is to cut a hole in the roof for it to come through the roof. And it eventually came through, so we had to poor water in from the top. We couldn't do a lot from the inside," said Troy Haase with Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue.
The DNR, American Red Cross and Alliant Energy were also called to the scene.
It's unclear what caused the vehicle to catch fire and it remains under investigation.
No one was injured during the fire.
