TOWN OF CENTER (WLUK) -- Two motorcyclists were killed when their bikes crashed head-on overnight in Outagamie County.
Sheriff's officials say the crash happened just after 1:30 a.m. on Highway O near Jeske Road in the Town of Center.
According to investigators, a 27-year-old Kaukauna man was headed west on Highway O. While he was trying to follow a curve, he collided with an oncoming motorcycle. The second motorcycle was being driven by a 29-year-old Little Chute man, who had a 22-year-old woman from Oneida riding along.
Both drivers were killed in the crash. The woman was taken to the hospital; sheriff's officials did not have an update on her condition.
All three were wearing helmets.
The road was closed for several hours after the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
Based on information provided by the Outagamie County Sheriff's Dept., this story originally stated the Kaukauna man was headed south. The sheriff's department later corrected the direction of travel to west. This story has been updated to reflect that change.
