Oshkosh police clear credit card fraud suspect

8-11 UPDATE: Police say they made contact with the suspect and determined the man was not involved in the incident.


OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- Oshkosh police are searching for a man who they say has been using stolen/fake credit cards throughout the Fox Valley area.

Police say the 23-year-old suspect used stolen/fake credit cards to buy gift cards at the Walgreens store on Emmers Lane Thursday.

The suspect is also accused of using stolen/fake credit cards at Pet Supplies Plus and Taco Bell in Appleton.

Police say the suspect may have a female accomplice and is driving a goldish/gray Chrysler 200 with Florida licence plates. The vehicle is a rental out of Michigan.

He is also wanted on a warrant out of Nebraska for possession of dangerous drugs, police say.
