WAUPACA COUNTY (WLUK) -- The New London Fire Department says a fire destroyed a business along Highway 54, just outside of New London.

Firefighters say GFL Environmental, formally Graichen Sanitation, was engulfed in flames when crews arrived just after 5 p.m. Thursday. The business is located in the township of Mukwa.

The 40-foot by 60-foot shop was used for garbage truck maintenance. Two trucks were inside the shop at the time. The fire destroyed both vehicles.

No injuries were reported. No one was inside the business at the time of the fire.

Fire officials say the cause is undetermined.

The New London Fire Department was on scene for about three hours until 8 p.m.
