APPLETON, Wis. (WLUK) -- A burglary suspect told officers he drank whiskey and ate a blueberry muffin after he broke into an Appleton home and was found inside sleeping naked, police say.

Authorities were dispatched to a burglary-in-progress at a home in the 200 block of Memorial Drive around 10:20 p.m. Saturday.

The resident of the home said when she returned home, she noticed a damaged entry door. When checking the home, she said she found an unknown man sleeping naked in her bed.

The woman notified police.

When police arrived on scene, they say they found 40-year-old Bradley Braxton of Oshkosh, naked and hiding in a shower enclosure.

Police say a bag of marijuana was found near Braxton's clothing, but he claimed it wasn't his.

According to the criminal complaint, Braxton told police an unnamed person gave him permission to enter the home.

Braxton was taken into custody and faces multiple charges including burglary, damage to property, theft and possession of marijuana.
