APPLETON (WLUK) -- A 21-year-old man from Manawa was caught breaking into Scheels at the Fox River Mall and stealing three long guns.
Grand Chute police responded to a motion alarm at 12:00 a.m. Saturday on February 25.
The man had a blow torch and authorities believe he got into the store by breaking through window from the roof.
After being caught by police, the man tried to run but was caught again by officers. All of the guns were recovered.
The man was taken to Outagamie County Jail where police are seeking charges for burglary, criminal damage to property, escape and resisting arrest.
The Outagamie County Sheriff's Department and the Appleton Police Department were requested to assist. Officers were also assisted by Fox River Mall Security who were already on scene.
