Fond du Lac mother speaks about son's death investigation
FOND DU LAC (WLUK) -- Unanswered questions remain for Joshua Farr's mother, Katherine.
"It's just hard not knowing why they killed him, why he's gone," Katherine said.
On Oct. 3, Farr was found lying in the road on Grove Street, near Interstate 41. He was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah for head injuries. Farr died a few days later on Oct. 11.
"They pulled the respirator then and in just a matter of five minutes he was gone," said Katherine.
FOX 11 contacted Fond du Lac police but didn't hear back. Investigators say they haven't determined how Farr died or whether his death is criminal.
But Farr's mom believes someone killed him.
FOX 11 asked Katherine if her son was ever involved in a bad crowd.
"All his life, all his life, and most of them are related to him," answered Katherine.
Katherine admitted her son was surrounded by drug addicts.
She said it's the second time Farr had been brought to the hospital for head injuries. She said both incidents were similar, saying her son was also beaten in the head in the same way, a few months ago.
"He had brain swelling and bleeding again both times, this time the frontal lobe in front that tell you who you are, were all smashed," Katherine explained.
The family plans to have a private memorial for Farr hoping people will remember him for who he was.
"He was a caring person, funny. Liked to embarrass his mom."
And although Farr is no longer here, he was able to save four lives as an organ donor.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Fond du Lac Police non-emergency number at (920) 322-3713.
