Fishing event takes vets on lake

OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- "Warriors on the Water" returned to Oshkosh Saturday.

It paired up nearly 100 veterans with a boat captain for a morning of fishing, on the Lake Winnebago system.

The event is completely volunteer-driven, as members of the community have provided the boats, fishing gear, and their time to make it possible.

"It's a lot of fun to meet other vets, and talk about different stuff, and what Otto Reetz does here is just absolutely amazing. What he gets together, not being a vet himself, being able to put all this together, it's incredible," said Stefanie Feider, U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
