APPLETON (WLUK) -- Three different parking ramps, three separate fires -- that kept Appleton firefighters busy around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday.

The Appleton Fire Department says when crews got to the Yellow Ramp on Washington and Morrison streets, they saw a fire in one of the elevator cars. The department said it put that fire out quickly.

After searching the area, firefighters say no one was else was around.

Before that fire, crews were called to the Red Ramp for a report of a fire in an elevator.

"The initial report was that the fire was out, but there was smoke on multiple levels," the department said in a news release.

Firefighters also decided to search the Green Ramp on Washington and Division streets and found a fire had already burned out.

No word on what caused the fires. The fire department says the fire in the Yellow Ramp caused a significant amount of damage to the elevators.
