FedEx truck catches fire on I-41 South

Officials say the cause of the truck fire was due to the brakes locking up.

The Freedom exit is now open.

There were no injuries, and no hazardous materials were spilled.

LAWRENCE (WLUK) -- Part of a FedEx semi-trailer truck caught fire earlier this evening according to Brown County Public Safety.

Officials say the driver was headed south on I-41 when the truck caught fire on the Freedom exit.

The driver was able to make it out of the truck safely and there were no passengers.
