2 men hurt when silo collapses
TOWN OF GLENMORE (WLUK) -- Two men were hurt Wednesday morning when a silo collapsed in southern Brown County.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office says the men, ages 40 and 45, were working at a farm on Dickinson Road in the Town of Glenmore. They were about 80 feet up, working on bringing down a grain elevator, when they heard a loud snap and the silo collapsed.
One of the men was airlifted to the hospital with injuries from being crushed. The other was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Both are expected to survive.
Sheriff's officials say both men are from the De Pere area. One of the men was a relative of the farm's owners; the other man was a friend who was helping out.
