STURGEON BAY (WLUK) -- A Door County business that's been making a difference for people all over the world is expanding its philanthropic efforts.
Door County Candle Company in Sturgeon Bay announced Friday that portions of particular candle products will be donated throughout the year to various causes.
The move to becoming a full on philanthropic brand started last year when Russian invaded Ukraine.
To help Ukrainians, the business began making and selling special blue and yellow vanilla-scented candles, with portions of the proceeds going to help the people of Ukraine.
In April, the Door County Candle Company announced it hit its goal of raising more $1 million for the cause.
And owner Christiana Trapani says their work is just getting started.
