GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- A dog left tied to a Green Bay fire hydrant has found her forever home.
And it didn't take long for the internet sensation to get adopted.
Within a day of being available for adoption, the Wisconsin Humane Society says a family has stepped forward to care for Baby Girl.
Baby Girl's previous owner tied the dog to the fire hydrant last week in hopes a good family would take her in. The owner packed all Baby Girl's favorite things in a backpack and left a note, explaining her situation and how she couldn't provide for her any more.
After she was fully examined by veterinarians, they learned Baby Girl had some medical issues, including Diabetes mellitus.
The Wisconsin Humane Society said Baby Girl's new family will need to work with their veterinarian on a plan, which is expected to include daily glucose monitoring, a restricted diet, and at-home insulin injections.
