'Doctors in Recital' presents record amount of donations
GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- An annual musical event continues to make a difference for local organizations.
Doctors in Recital awarded area organizations with $65,000, a record amount of money, Monday.
In January, area physicians performed a concert to raise money for local causes.
Aspiro, one of the organizations receiving money, was given $52,000.
An official for Aspiro says the money will be used for their positive parenting program.
"Thanks to this money Aspiro is going to provide those parents coaches and mentors along the way, as they raise their children," said Mike Duschene, president of Aspiro.
Since 2006, Doctors in Recital has raised more than $400,000 for local charities.
Last year, the event raised more than $60,000.
