APPLETON (WLUK) -- The Appleton Police Department is currently investigating a call about a gun being shot.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., Friday, Appleton police officers went to the 700 block of West Franklin Street for a call that said shots were fired.

When the officers arrived, they made contact with a man with a possible gun shot wound.

The other people involved were reportedly uncooperative and the scene was locked down so officers could secure the area.

After some investigation, the officers determined that the possible gun shot wound was self inflicted after unintentionally firing the gun.
