GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Organizers say the Green Bay 2019 Cellcom Marathon is moving the start and finish lines away from Lambeau Field.

Sunday's distance runs on Sunday, May 19 will start and finish at Leicht Memorial Park on Dousman Street in downtown Green Bay.

The 5K run on Saturday, May 18 is moving near the Green Bay Distillery in Ashwaubenon.

All events for the marathon will still feature a signature lap around Lambeau Field.

Race director Toni Jaeckels says the change presents a new opportunity.

“This move allows us to introduce new courses for all of our events, while still giving people the opportunity to circle Lambeau Field. The event started downtown for our first seven years, so it is fun for us to go back to our roots and give runners some new scenery,” Jaeckels said in a press release Thursday.
