APPLETON (WLUK) -- Police in Appleton are helping Outagamie County sheriff's authorities identify the person whose body was found in the Fox River over the weekend.

The body was pulled from the river Saturday near Heesakker Park in Little Chute.

Appleton police say they were contacted because they are investigating the recent disappearance of Caitlyn Pa Chia Xiong. The 20-year-old was last seen Oct. 5.

An autopsy on the body was scheduled for Monday in Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, anyone with information on Xiong's disappearance is asked to call Sgt. Chue Thao at (920) 832-5953. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through the department's smartphone app.
