APPLETON (WLUK) -- Police have identified the two people arrested following an overnight standoff in Appleton.

Officers say Courtney S. Vera, 28, left the house when police threw gas munitions into the house. She had two warrants for her arrest.

Sebastian R. Endres, 25, was found in an upper level of the house around 5:45 a.m. during a SWAT team's search. Investigators found a loaded handgun nearby. Endres was arrested for a parole violation.

The standoff in the 1800 block of W. Frances Street began after a patrol officer recognized Vera and Endres and realized they were wanted. More officers arrived around 7:30 p.m. and demanded the two come out of the house.

Two people who were not involved in the incident came out of the house before Endres and Vera were arrested.

Police say they had information to indicate Endres and Vera had used heroin before the SWAT team arrived.

The area remains closed off as police continue to investigate.
