GREEN BAY, Wis. (WLUK) – Adolfo Gonzalez, 17, was charged Wednesday with attempted first-degree intentional homicide for allegedly shooting another teen during an argument about a girl.

Gonzalez appeared in court Wednesday afternoon, where a $100,000 cash bond was set. He returns to court Nov. 29 for the balance of his initial appearance.

According to the criminal complaint:

A deputy responded to a residence on Libal Street, where he found a girl, 17, waiving him down. There, the officer found Justin Hill, 19, with a gunshot wound to the neck. Hill was taken to the hospital.

The girl said that Gonzalez was her ex-boyfriend, and that he was overprotective and possessive – and would make threats about shooting other guys if she dated them. In recent weeks, Gonzalez stalked the girl on social media, she said.

On Monday, Hill and the girl returned to her house after eating dinner. Gonzalez was there, opened the car door, and shot twice, she said. Gonzalez then ran from the scene.

Hill said that before firing the shot, Gonzalez asked “Why, Bro?”

In a statement to police, Gonzalez denied having anything to do with Hill’s shooting, the complaint said.
