WEYAUWEGA (WLUK) -- Two people were arrested in Weyauwega during a traffic stop after deputies found approximately $7,000 worth of heroin inside the vehicle.
On May 18 around 8:00 p.m., a Waupaca County deputy stopped a vehicle on US Highway 10 at County Highway X for an equipment violation.
Both the driver, a 25-year-old Marshfield man, and the passenger, a 31-year-old Minneapolis man, appeared nervous, deputies say.
K9 officer, Cuda, indicated the presence of illegal drugs inside the vehicle, allowing authorities to conduct a search.
Deputies say a loaded handgun was found inside the glove box and 14.88 grams of heroin, approximately 150 doses, was recovered.
The two were taken into custody on multiple recommended charges, including felon in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver heroin and obstructing an officer.
