GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Tuesday afternoon, Green Bay's redevelopment authority voted in favor of hiring a new inspector to deal with a rat problem in the city that FOX 11 Investigates has been covering.

The city wants to use $7,500 of neighborhood enhancement funds for the new position. That is on top of $5,000 the city has already earmarked to combat rats.

The new rat inspector position still needs full city council approval.

The council is expected to vote at its meeting next week.
