Marquette poll: Clinton holds slim lead over Trump

(WLUK) -- The presidential race continues to tighten in Wisconsin.

According to the results of a Marquette Law School poll released Wednesday, Democrat Hillary Clinton led Republican Donald Trump 43-38 percent among registered Wisconsin voters. Among likely voters, the margin was even tighter - 44 to 42 percent in favor of Clinton.

In a four-way race, Clinton had 41 percent support, Trump 38 percent, Libertarian Gary Johnson 11 percent and the Green Party's Jill Stein 2 percent among likely voters.

As recently as Aug. 10, Clinton led Trump 46 percent to 36 percent among registered Wisconsin voters, according to the Marquette poll.

The poll of 802 registered voters was conducted Sept. 15-18. Its margin of error is 4.4 points among registered voters and 4.8 points among likely voters.
