(WLUK) -- Hillary Clinton supporter and former Maryland attorney general Doug Gansler says in a "bizarre" election year, Democrats shouldn't be overly confident about an Election Day victory, as national polls show Clinton with 2 to 12 percentage-point leads over Donald Trump.

"He's running a campaign where he puts people down, so a lot of people are embarrassed to say they're for Donald Trump," Gansler said on Good Day Wisconsin Wednesday morning. "And so I think that's a concern for the Clinton campaign, as well, that make sure people get out there that are supporting Secretary Clinton that want to make sure we don't have a person with the temperament of Donald Trump as president. We need to make sure people actually vote, and that's critical."
