MADISON (WLUK) -- More than 1,000 people have applied to do contact tracing with those who test positive for the coronavirus.
Contact tracing is part of the overall efforts to reopen the state's economy. Tracers would reach out to those who have been in close contact with people who test positive.
Jobs are posted on the state's jobs website. Interviews are set to begin next week.
The state's goal is to have 1,000 contact tracers.
