Connect to Congress: Gallagher on gun reform
GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Eighth district congressman, Mike Gallagher, disagrees with retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens who said the United States can only fix the gun problem by repealing the Second Amendment.
Considering the self-protection aspect, Gallagher said people need to protect themselves.
"That's obviously not a practical position, I also think it would be misguided if you actually care about giving people the option to protect themselves, so let's have a more common sense argument on what we can do," Gallagher said. "Each school district needs to have a conversation on how do we secure our schools."
President Donald Trump claimed directly that the second amendment will never be repealed.
