Know your candidate: Republican Scott Walker, running for governor

(WLUK) -- Gov. Scott Walker is one of six candidates on the ballot for Wisconsin governor.

Walker was elected governor in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. Prior to that, he was Milwaukee County executive and represented southeastern Wisconsin in the state Assembly.

Issues

Walker's website highlights his focus on jobs and developing the workforce; cutting taxes; education funding; supporting small businesses; supporting farmers and rural citizens; preserving gun rights and hunting and fishing; his pro-life position; supporting veterans; and affordable health care.

Running mate


Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch has been elected along with Walker since 2010. She is a former broadcast news reporter and is married to former State Rep. Joel Kleefisch.
