Lemony Chicken Wraps with Spicy Garlic Sauce


2 lbs chicken tenders, cut into 1 inch pieces

2 Tbs olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

Zest from 1 large lemon

Juice from 1/2 lemon

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp paprika

4-6 pita breads

Baby spinach or mixed greens

Sliced tomatoes (optional)

Thinly sliced red onions (optional)


In a mixing bowl, combined the oil, garlic, lemon zest and juice and all spices/seasonings. Add the chicken and toss well. Cover the bowl and let marinate for 1 hour, or up to 8 hours.

Heat a large sauté pan over medium high heat. Add a little olive oil, and once hot, add the chicken pieces. Cook until lightly golden and cooked through. Remove from heat.


1 cup mayo

3 cloves garlic, minced

1-2 tsp Sriracha

Salt and pepper

Squeeze of lemon

Combine all sauce ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend till smooth.

Place some spinach or greens on each pita bread, followed by the tomato and onion. Top with warm chicken, drizzle with spicy sauce.
