Wonderful Wedge Salad

1 large head of iceberg lettuce

8 thick slices of vine ripe tomatoes or 1 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved

Salt and pepper

8 pieces of crispy bacon, crumbled

1/2 to 1 cup crumbled bleu cheese

2 cups Bleu Cheese Dressing


Remove core from lettuce. Cut lettuce into 4 wedges. Place one lettuce wedge on each plate. Place 2 slices of tomatoes next to each wedge or sprinkle cherry or grapes tomatoes around it. Season the tomatoes with a little salt and pepper. Top the wedge with bleu cheese dressing, some crumbled bleu cheese, and bacon. Serve with fresh ground black pepper on the top.

Best Ever Bleu Cheese Dressing:

1 cup bleu cheese, crumbled

1 cup mayonnaise

1 cup sour cream

3 tablespoons of milk

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon hot sauce

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon celery salt

1 teaspoon ground mustard

1 teaspoon onion powder

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon sugar

Salt and pepper


Combine first 12 ingredients and mix well. Season with a little salt and pepper. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. If it’s too thick for you, thin it out with a little milk. Keeps in the fridge for about 4 days.
