Weeknight Crockpot Chili


2 lbs. lean ground beef

2 lbs. beef stew meat diced

3 bags of frozen seasoning blend veggies (cut up onions, peppers, & celery)

2 – 14 ounce cans of Bush’s Chili Beans

2 – 14 ounce cans of diced fire roasted tomatoes

14 ounces can beef broth

1 cup of chili powder)

2 tablespoon cumin

1 small bottle of Ortega taco sauce (pick your heat on what you prefer)

2 teaspoons Adobo seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Garnishes: sour cream, shredded cheese and crackers or tortilla chips


In crock pot, pour the 3 bags of seasoning blend in the bottle, and turn on low. Brown the ground beef off in a saute pan with salt and pepper. When brown add to the crock pot. Return pan to stove, and brown stew meat in same pan with salt and pepper. Add to the crock pot. Add the remaining ingredients to the crock pot, and stir together. Cook chili on low for 6 – 8 hours or until stew meat is tender. Enjoy with favorite garnishes.
