APPLETON (WLUK) – The Appleton Area School District Community Engagement Department is ready to lend a helping hand in the Fox Valley.

The department was formed in January 2019. Organizers develop collaborative initiatives between the district and schools, local businesses, non-profits, community members, staff and students.

FOX 11’s Emily Deem learned more about the department Tuesday morning on Good Day Wisconsin.

Coordinators say the department oversees district wide volunteer programs and engages approximately 300-400 volunteers.
