Amy’s Caprese Burgers



1 1/2 pound ground chuck

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons prepared pesto sauce

4 ciabatta, toasted

8 slices fresh mozzarella cheese

4 thick slices tomato

4 pieces of lettuce


Mix together mayo and pesto and refrigerate until ready to use. Combine beef with garlic and a little salt and pepper and form 4 patties. Grill burgers. Just before they are done, top each with two pieces of cheese. Cover to melt. Spread both sides of the rolls with mayo mixture. Place burgers on buns with lettuce and tomato.
