APPLETON (WLUK) -- Appleton East High School is opening what it calls a dynamic career center.
It's called Launch Studio and it will help students discover their true passion for their future academic and career plans.
It's been integrated into the high school's library.
The business partner for the project says the center allows students to make real world, face-to-face connections with business people, in turn promoting career awareness and exploration.
"It's a tremendous opportunity for students. As far as they know they drive by buildings around here, and they don't know a whole lot more about them unless their parents work there, or if they know somebody who works there. But what this provides is a little more information about what the companies do, and what they have to offer," said Aaron Sass with Great Northern Corporation.
Great Northern has four facilities in Wisconsin including Fox Crossing and Oshkosh and says it plans to add similar studios in the other Appleton high schools.
