25th Alternative Christmas Market
APPLETON (WLUK) -- If you’re looking to get a head start on your holiday shopping the 25th Alternative Christmas Market is happening on Sunday, November 12.
FOX 11’s Lauren Kalil was live from the market showing us what giving back this time of year is all about.
The event gives people a unique option when it comes to Christmas shopping.
Shoppers will “purchase” an item through a donation that will directly benefit people within our community and around the world.
After you choose your gift, the First Congregational United Church of Christ will supply a card for you to give to the recipient that describes your special gift and the donation is directed to the organization that sponsors the gift.
Participants can also enjoy brunch and music while making their purchases.
More than 2,500 gifts and over $250,000 have been raised for local, national and international organizations that relieve suffering and promote justice.
The Alternative Christmas Market will be held at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Appleton from 9:30 a.m. until noon.
