LITTLE CHUTE (WLUK) -- Denmark's Donavan Short has his team in the thick of the North Eastern Conference race and the forward has been one of the more dominant players in Northeast Wisconsin this season.

Short is averaging a conference-best 22 points per game and 8.9 rebounds per game (second in the NEC). Every time he steps on the court he has the opponent's attention, and not just because he's 6-10.

His performance on the court is paying off as he has been garnering attention. According to Short, he has five offers to date: Green Bay, Virginia Tech, Toledo, USC and Princeton.

"I mean it's been great," Short said of his recruiting. "Ever since I was younger me and my brother would talk about these days and being able to perform and have these DI colleges come up and watch you and evaluate you and end up finally getting to that final goal of getting that high major or mid-major offer.

"This process is new to me, I'm taking it as it comes and hopefully I can learn from it and keep on going. Just taking everything as it comes and trying to evaluate and see what everything has to offer and what makes makes me feel best."

Despite the handful of offers, Short has said he is no rush to make a decision.
