Cleanup underway at Fox Cities Stadium
GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) -- Cleanup crews at Fox Cities Stadium are starting to move nearly two feet of snow off of the playing surface, seats and concourse. The team was supposed to open up a three game home stand with the Kane County Cougars Tuesday, but those games will be played in Peoria.
The Timber Rattlers will stay in Peoria all week playing three games against the Cougars and then the Chiefs again this weekend.
"It's a little bit different than say a Lambeau Field, where they throw it down and bring it right to the field,"said Timber Rattlers president Rob Zerjav. "For us we don't have that luxury with the dugouts, the netting so it's shoveling, bringing it up to the concourse and then hauling it out. It's going to be an all week process, but well get there. Ready to go for Monday."
The Timber Rattlers will host the Clinton LumberKings Monday, April 23.
