Source: Packers waive reserve lineman Tiller
GREEN BAY -- As the Packers look to get their roster down to 75 players this afternoon, an NFL source tells FOX 11 the team will waive - injured reserve offensive lineman Andrew Tiller. The backup guard injured his calf against the Oakland Raiders.Tiller entered the game against the Raiders in the second quarter, playing left guard as part of the 2nd-team offensive line unit. The 2012 6th round pick by the New Orleans Saints spent part of the 2013 season on Green Bay's practice squad. An MRI was needed to determine the extent of Tiller's injury to his upper calf, though the source did not want to speculate on the severity of the injury.The Packers may make other injury-related moves as part of getting their roster to the mandated 75 players by 3pm, including moves involving receiver Jared Abbrederis, lineman Don Barclay or defensive lineman BJ Raji, all thought to be lost for the season.
