Man injured after crashing snowmobile in Berlin

BERLIN (WLUK) -- A snowmobiler suffered non-life-threatening injuries after crashing into an object and being ejected from his snowmobile.

The crash happened in an area two miles west of Berlin around 11 p.m. Friday.

Police say two men were snowmobiling in the area and became lost. Without realizing the second snowmobiler had crashed, the lead snowmobiler continued on.

When the lead snowmobiler realized the the second snowmobiler wasn't driving behind him anymore, he called authorities and a search for the missing man ensued.

Just before 11:30 p.m. the missing snowmobiler, a 31-year-old Campbellsport man, called 911 and was able to provide GPS coordinates from his phone.

ThedaStar was called to respond due to the type of anticipated injury and cold weather conditions.
