Gamblers drop Clark Cup Playoff opener to Dubuque, 3-1
GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Gamblers fell to Dubuque 3-1 in their USHL Clark Cup Playoff opener at the Resch Center Monday night.
Nolan Moyle gave the home squad an early lead with a wrap around goal 80 seconds into the game.
However, the Gamblers squandered three power play opportunities and the Fighting Saints capitalized late.
Dubuque scored the final three goals of the game, Tyce Thompson tied it in the second period, with Taylor Schneider and Quinn Preston adding third period tallies to take a 1-0 series lead.
Both teams return to the ice Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. for the second game of this best-of-three series.
