Pulaski focused on return to state

The Red Raiders have advanced to the girls state soccer tournament for the second straight year. Pulaski will meet Wauwatosa East in the Division 2 semifinals on Friday at 4: 30 p.m.

PULASKI - The Girls state soccer tournament kicks off Thursday at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, Wis.

Out of Division 2, Pulaski one of three local teams representing Northeast Wisconsin.

The Red Raiders making their second straight trip and third overall. They'll take on Wauwatosa East on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

"Last year was so fun being a junior and being able to play," senior midfielder Brooke Schauer said. "But this year, I'm just going to put everything out on the field, because this is the last time I will get to play with these girls."

After falling in the semifinals last season, this group is excited to take another step on the biggest stage.

"I think we are all really confident," junior defender Gillian Holder said. "We have nerves, but I haven't really heard anyone too scared. Everyone is really pumped up and helping each other. It's the state tournament and we are all really excited."
